he aerodrome in Kąkolewo invites everyone who wants to learn more about its activity. We welcome both the youngest explorers and older aviation lovers.
As part of trips organised in cooperation with schools and kindergartens, each participant has the opportunity to become acquainted with the aerodrome infrastructure, its surroundings and the way it operates. What is more, it is an unforgettable opportunity to see airplanes at close quarters or even sit in the cockpit at the controls.
A visit to the aerodrome can be an adventure, and not just for the little ones. Our aerodrome is also a site where meetings with technical school students are held as part of the “Time of professionals BIS – professional Wielkopolska” project implemented by the Local Government of the Wielkopolska Region and Poznan University of Technology. Students of Wielkopolska Region schools participate in specialised classes in technologically innovative laboratories. At Kąkolewo Campus, they have an opportunity to get to know the laboratory facilities and learn more about airplanes, gliders and UAVs.
Among the events for the youngest ones, special interest is taken in the Researchers’ Night, during which numerous shows and demonstrations are given Poznan University of Technology students and researchers, including, for instance, PUT Motorsport teams, the Academic Aviation Club, or the Space Robot Research Centre.
